replaced the broken headphone jack the other day and replaced the dodgy click wheel today. Everything, mostly, works again now. The play/pause button is still finicky but that must be an issue with the button on the main board. It's done enough for now, might try and find a fix for the play button in the future |

back window is done now. Had a productive afternoon out in the garage and got the solid panel recessed into the frame and then glued it all together. Did some gap filling on the front window and there'll be a bit today on the back as well. Should be able tyo get that sorted through the week and then onto painting before the window panes arrive. |

got the front window frame finished up today. Needs a little more work to fill in some small gaps round the joints but nothing that can't be fixed or hidden under paint. |

created a basic font from a template in the back of a Hobbies Weekly magazine from the 50s using calligraphr. There's no punctuation marks so that might be a future project if I fancy it, but for now I'm calling it done. |

managed to get the basic frames finished last weekend. Nipped out yesterday to get the ply I needed for the solid panels and started cutting the rebates for the panels to fit into. Got as far as cutting the channel in the bottom and middle sections for the front window. Window panes are due to arrive on 09/09 so I've got until then to get everything buttoned up and painted. |

finished the wiring for this yesterday and made up the 3.5mm cables to connect everything tonight. Everything works as it should apart from one issue. When I've got both my laptop and desktop connected I get interference/noise/crackle. I think it's probably ground loop hum but I'm no expert and it's beyond my expertise. A bit of research needed to fix it. |

replaced the disintegrating input cable so that I can actually use this again. Both of the battery connections seem to have gone bad as well but I'm planning on using it plugged in, y'know to really make the most of it's portability, so I'll repair that in the future if I need to. |
